These cuffs are made from a dinged-up license plate I found leaning against a telephone pole on a busy street. Its hammered appearance drew me in - I took it home, scrubbed the dirt, paint, and street-smell out of it, cut it into strips with my handy aviation shears, drilled some holes into them (and used the preexisting ones) to fasten some spikes and chains, bent them into circles, sanded the sharp edges, and behold.
The metal is very pliable and can be adjusted to fit your wrist. They can be a bit uncomfortable to put on but sit nicely once you have succeeded. Some of the spikes wiggle a bit, but they’re super glued so they won’t fall out. I actually find them fun to fidget with.
